The College of Fine Arts Festival – First Edition (2024)

The College of Fine Arts at the University of Duhok was officially established in 2023. However, the academic plans and programs for the college had been developed and discussed in the years prior to its establishment. As a result, the First College of Fine Arts Festival was held in 2024, one year after the college was founded, with the participation of the Department of Theatre and the Department of Plastic Arts.

The inaugural festival took place on the University of Duhok campus and featured a large-scale art exhibition showcasing a diverse collection of creative works, including the following:

• Paintings
• Sculptures
• Ceramic artworks

The festival also presented three theatrical performances, including two productions created by students and one play written and directed by Dr. Mohammed Sabri.

The festival reflected the college's commitment to promoting artistic creativity, supporting emerging talent, and enriching the cultural and academic life of the university.
